30 Days to Creating Super Habits

Creating super habits are easier than you could ever imagine. Most people have something they would like to change in their lives. If you ask anyone, they are usually able to answer this question, "If you could change anything about yourself, what would you change." All the self help and personal development programs and books available today are full of useful information that nobody seems to take advantage of. You've seen the TV commercials and listen to other people tell their stories, about how they lost weight.

Are you one of those skeptics that find these stories hard to believe. Do you think it's possible to create a life changing habit within 30 days? If you don't think it's possible, have you ever tried to change something about yourself you don't like.

If you haven't tried, how do you know it's impossible. If you have tried to create change in your life, did you quit, did you quit shortly after you started. This is often what most people do. They either quit before they start and never even get started, or they quit within a short period of time after they started. Usually these people have an excuse, most of the time their excuse is quite simply, it was harder than I thought.

Creating super habits in 30 days is possible and you don't have to be an over achiever to accomplish this goal. Creating these habits will require some effort on your part but the rewards most of the time are worth the effort.

I challenge you to change something about yourself you don't like within the next 30 days.

Dr Success Highlights - The Five Secrets You Must Discover Before You Die by John Izzo

John Izzo begins his book: The Five Secrets You Must Discover Before You Die with a question we should form our entire life around: "Why do some people find wisdom and die happy?" This query is one that should sit quietly in the back of our minds from birth until death. When we sit with a question like this, we open ourselves to the endless possibilities of the answer.

John Izzo seeks to provide his audience with a roadmap to discovering our own answer to this. Through his book, he invites us to create lives of wisdom and happiness, no matter what our circumstance. Before beginning the five-step lesson, Izzo outlines the greatest challenge of all. He reminds us that time is passing. In our powelessness over that, we have huge opportunities. We can manage our priorities and our choices. We are the stars of this one-person, one-lifetime show.

This book was, in some ways, a collaboration. Four thousand people were nominated by friends or loved ones as being true pillars of wisdom and joy. The author then chose 235 of those candidates between 60 and 105 years old - the most knowledgeable section of our society. These subjects have experienced the most. They can separate the hard knocks from the great lessons. Through those subjects and their wisdom, Izzo came up with five tenets for a life worth living:

1. Be true to yourself.
2. Leave no regrets
3. Become love.
4. Live in the moment.
5. Give more than you take.

Although each of these is vital and approached with great depth and focus in the book, one or two demand a moment's inspection and are worth implementing this very moment.

Living in the moment. If one of the five tenets to living a happy life is to live in the moment, we are literally behind the eightball before we even begin. We are taken out of the "moment" a thousand times each day through our own technology. (Can you say email?) The author recounts taking his dog for a walk one day. The dog was enjoying that walk so much more than Mr. Izzo himself. The dog paused to enthusiastically enjoy smells or the company of other dogs (friends). The author was simply busy timing himself to accomplish his daily speed walk.

Become Love. Izzo asks us to recognize that love is not an idea, it is an action. It means choosing to spend time with friends. (Even dogs do that!) It means embodying thoughtfulness and a loving tone. We must not miss an opportunity or spend a day in human disappointment - there simply are no do-overs. You will pass through today only once, and love will sustain you.

Leave no regrets. The author's grandfather offered him the idea, early in his life, to judge his days by how satisfying they are. Each day will pass, it is simply the law of time and space, but how we live and how fulfilled we are, will become the foundation of great choices. Quite simply, we get this one chance to create a life that leaves no regrets. Do what thrills us.

Like all great books on positive psychology, gratitude is the prevailing thought throughout this book. To be able to rebound every day (if necessary) and choose to live a joyous and meaningful life. To create time to be still and find the timeless beauty hidden behind to do lists and ever-full inboxes. To author our own sonata, our own academy-award winning existence. That is the good life, and John Izzo wants us to know it. The rewards of each of these five principles are limitless, and amazingly, they are free. It's the free lottery ticket - your one true life.

It Was You, All Along - By Gary Spinell

Steps to Self Realization

Gary Spinell writes openly of his journey from low self esteem and self confidence in his book "It Was You, All Along." Gary tells how he created change and the life he desired by acquiring new beliefs and traits by learning to release positive energy.

The book demonstrates that individually we have the power to make our life become whatever we want it to be and that our world is comprised, created and built by the energy of our thoughts, words and actions.

Part I summarizes how American society and culture over the last 50 years have impacted our belief systems. The depression of the 1930s, the generation of baby boomers, women coming into the work force, and the new age of technology are all examples of this impact. Spinell discusses how impatience, discrimination, the quick fix, the concept of suing, and the lack of assuming individual responsibility are all a result of society's influence.

Part II introduces five universal laws and ten key steps that will help you discover how to create the world of your desire and your own reality. I enjoyed the format of the book which highlights significant points and tips. These short synopsis statements and a natural lead paragraph into the next chapter are helpful as they enable the reader to quickly assimilate and retain key points. Spinell challenges the reader to approach their journey with a feeling of curiosity and anticipation.

Gary uses personal examples of applying the universal laws and the dynamic forces at work in the world to create his desired reality. The eight action steps to becoming a person of high esteem were especially helpful. Gary relates his experiences in a candid yet positive approach which allows the reader to identify, empathize, and emulate Gary's success principles.
Spinell's own example demonstrates the success of his formula for inner strength and personal growth. "It Was You, All Along" is a powerful illustration of the importance of resolve, determination, and conviction. It is a practical straightforward guide for attaining success, inner peace and happiness.

Use Of Isochronic Tones In Brainwave Entrainment (BWE)

If you are familiar with brainwave entrainment, you will know that the normal method is to use binaural beats, but new studies have shown that infact the use of isochronic tone is more effective for brainwave entrainment.

What is isochronic tone? And how can it be more effective than binaural beats ?

While binaural beats use sound with different phase for different ear, isochronic tone is created by evenly space burst of tones. Because of this, entrainment using isochronic tone does not require the use of headphone.

One of the major shortcomings of binaural beats are that they require the use of both ears, and special speakers (headphone) assignment. The requirement to use both ears also limit the use with some methodologies which do specific are stimulus - not both side of the ears.

Isochronic tone also has its own shortcoming.
First, in order for isochronic to retain its full effect, both tones must have the same amplitude. Second, in order for them to produce any significant BWE isochronic tones must be at a suitable volume - loud enough for the listener to hear a noticeable modulation in the tones.

On higher level, isochronic tone falls under brainwave entrainment (BWE), not cortical evoked response (CER). What is the different between the two, you might ask?

In CER the stimulus is trigger less frequent - below four hertz (four times per second).
At this level the brain response does not fall into synchronization mode.
Once the frequency is faster as in isochronic tone, the brain start to follow the stimulus pattern.
When this happen, the stimulus is categorized as entrainment.

A counter partner method to isochronic tone is photic stimulation - where light instead of sound is used.
In photic stimulation normally a goggle with LEDs is used. The LEDs flashes in specific frequency like strobe lights.

New technologies in brainwave entrainment are trying to maximize the effect by using combination of both sound and sight in form of isochronic tone and photic stimulation together. This method is known as audio-video entrainment (AVE).

One of the earlier study on isochronic tone was done in 1981 by Artura Manns.
Before that most of the studies have been on the light stimulus - the photic stimulation effect.
The isochronic tone was used to treat patient with facial pain and jaw tension (TMJ dysfunction) and insomnia problem. As a result it is now common to use BWE to reduce risk of getting TMJ dysfunction during dental procedure.

here are a lot of tools in form of actual hardware and software that can generate some kind of isochronic tones for you. And there are many ready made isochronic tones CD sold on the internet, but you have to be very careful as there are cases where wrongly applied isochronic tones and photic stimulus cause seizure to the users.

Dare to Succeed - How to Survive and Thrive in the Game of Life by Mark Burnett

I picked up "Dare to Succeed: How to Survive and Thrive in the Game of Life" by Mark Burnett because I've enjoyed some of his TV shows. I am especially an "Apprentice" fan, liking both Donald Trump and anything business related.

I found this book to be a quick enjoyable read. I learned some things about Burnett that I had not known, and I found it interesting to learn about his background and how he came to the United States and then came up with the ideas for his television shows and saw those ideas through.

It is easy enough to say Mark Burnett is a television genius. His shows have become hugely popular, and the result has been to catapult Burnett into riches and stardom. As one of the hottest producers in television, it seems that what Burnett touches turns to gold. Well, not always, while I liked "The Contender" it did not seem to do as well as some of his others. Still, Burnett has made a mark on television and will most likely continue to do so for quite some time. It is a long ways from selling T-shirts on the beach in Southern California. It was interesting to learn of Burnett being a nanny and then selling shirts on the beach. His shows might not have become the huge successes they are without a burning determination Burnett possessed to make his inspiration become reality. (pun intended)

As a former paratrooper myself, maybe I just enjoy seeing former service members succeed. Maybe it is because I've enjoyed watching "The Apprentice" and "Survivor." Maybe I just enjoy success stories. Whatever the reason, I enjoyed this book, and think anyone who enjoys Burnett's television shows will too. It is a good tale of how someone with a lot of determination can make his vision come true. It is an easy read, and one that will not only share some of Burnett's life story with you, but maybe motivate you to pursue your dreams a little harder as well. If it does that, it definitely deserves a read.

Are You Ready to Be a Millionaire?

I think most people have seen at least one episode of the game show, "Who Wants to be A Millionaire". The lights dim, the audience gets nervous, the ominous music plays, and the host asks, "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" The crowd goes wild.

In today's society, it seems like everyone wants to be a millionaire. Despite the economic hardships the world is currently facing, making money can be easier than ever these days and everyone would love to have a piece of the pie (myself included!). But instead of asking, "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" I think the better question to ask yourself is, "Are You Ready to be a Millionaire?" I mean, really ready to be a millionaire?

Sure, it would be nice to win the lottery or have a million dollar check float down out of the sky, but how often does that really happen? And more importantly, we've all heard stories of people who win the lottery but are completely broke two years later. Then there are the athletes or musicians who make millions of dollars while in their prime, but the minute they fade from the spotlight they head straight for bankruptcy. So you can see that money is really not the issue. The real issue is whether or not you are ready to be a millionaire and handle all that money when it comes to you.

For example, one of the main reasons I wanted to create my website was because I thought that it would be a great way to pursue my passion of self help and also have flexibility and freedom to stay home and not have to work a 9-5 corporate job. I figured I could sleep in as long as I wanted, stay in my pajamas and watch movies on cable TV all day long... boy was I wrong! Instead of sleeping in every morning like I planned, I can barely sleep at all anymore because I'm so excited to wake up and work on my site! And I hardly watch any TV because I would rather update my website and research new self help resources.

What does this have to do with money? A LOT! If you want to be a millionaire, and by that I mean a millionaire who actually stays that way and doesn't lose everything after two years, then your life is going to change once the money comes. Obviously your life can change in very positive ways, but it will change and you've got to be ready for that. For example, you'll probably start dressing better than before and you don't realize it now, but people will look at you differently if you're carrying a Coach bag versus a purse you bought on sale at Target. Maybe you'll start eating out more, or taking fancier vacations and staying in high-end resorts rather than the cheapest hotel you could find.

Here's what I mean: Say you've recently booked a trip to Paris and have decided to stay in a pricey hotel right in the heart of the city because you can finally afford it. Your first night there, you discover the hotel hosts a nightly cocktail party in the lobby for all their guests and you decide to stop by. You're excited to mingle with your fellow travelers, but you notice that instead of being happy about meeting these new people you start to feel like you don't really deserve to be here among all these 'wealthy' people (even though you yourself are wealthy!). You open your mouth to speak, but all of a sudden you feel a lack of self-confidence because you just don't think these people could be interested in anything you have to say. You look down at your clothes and even though you may be dressed nicely, you assume that everyone can see right through you and see that you didn't always have this much money. You become self-conscious and start to feel as if you don't really deserve to have a lot of money after all. And this is exactly where the problem lies.

It gets to a point where you are so uncomfortable that you say to yourself, "maybe I would be better off without all this wealth!" And slowly but surely, over the next couple of months you realize that you've started doing things to sabotage your wealth, like spending more and buying things you don't really need, or not monitoring your finances and losing track of where your money goes. It can be uncomfortable dealing with those feelings that first come up when you have more money, and rather than dealing with them and working through them it is often easier to just go back to not having very much money.

Hey, money is supposed to make things easier, right?! And it can. However, you will find yourself facing issues you may never have even thought of before. You'll probably want to find a financial advisor to help you deal with your extra cash, or read books on investing in the stock market, or even decide whether or not you're going to give money to friends and family who need help during these tough times. All of this can lead to positive changes things in your life if you let it, but you have to be open to dealing with things that might seem uneasy at first. It can be overwhelming to decide which financial advisor to go with, or which investment book to read, or even figure out exactly what they're talking about!

Having a lot of money when you are not used to having very much can be tricky to deal with at first. However, it's the people who take time to deal with these issues as they arise that hold onto their wealth and become millionaires for life, rather than losing everything and having to start over from scratch. Have you ever noticed how people like Donald Trump can lose millions and millions of dollars, but within a year they've accumulated it all over again? That's because they've learned to be comfortable with having a lot of money and are ready and able to adapt to the changes and challenges that a millionaire lifestyle will bring you.

If you're really ready to be a millionaire, take a look at my website to learn about resources that will help you create wealth in your life, both in terms of money and in all-around fulfillment.
