Increasing Female Libido

Increasing female libido can be frustrating, especially when its done under significant pressure. Just like men can have performance issues related to sexual pressure, women can struggle harder with an existing condition such as a low sex drive when there is pressure to fix it. Lets be honest for a moment. Theres nothing to fix because theres nothing broken. Rather, a decreased libido is part of the natural cycles of life that can be brought on by a multitude of various issues.

Surgeries, illness, pain, depression, hormonal changes, pregnancy, birth, lactation, stress, and fatigue can seriously affect a womans natural sex drive. Some women simply have lower than average sex drives and theres nothing wrong in that. Increasing female libido should be a choice based on a desire to be sexually intimate with a loving partner rather than a commitment made from a sense of obligation or the feeling of being abnormal.

A sex drive which has taken nose dive due to a physical cause such as illness, pain, surgery, or childbirth related issues is likely to return given a little time and tenderness. However, a lagging sex drive that doesnt cooperate with the womans schedule can be increased via various natural, semi-natural, and chemical methods.

Natural methods can include things such as eating aphrodisiac foods on a regular basis, adding one glass of wine to the nightly meal, and getting additional exercise. These types of natural methods of increasing female libido can work wonders for someone who simply needs a little boost over the edge.

For those whose libido has gone directly into hibernation never to be seen again, then there may be cause for more intensive approaches to increasing the female libido. After all, a healthy libido is part of a healthy, loving relationship. Increasing female libido that has gone completely awry is going to take a little time and patience, but it usually can be done. Herbal supplements designed with the right combination of specialized herbs can facilitate the production of the hormones needed for a healthy sex drive. This is the semi-natural route, and it can be done one of two ways.

A woman can do her own research and find the right amount of the right blend of herbs and grow or purchase them and use them consistently in her food, or she can simply purchase the prepackaged herbal remedies sold to solve the situation. Either way, many women report this to be the most effective solution to a low libido problem.

Not all prepackaged female libido enhancers are going to be solely herbs. Many products contain chemicals and more medicative products to increase the female libido. These carry a higher risk of side effects and drug interactions, but can be lightening fast in comparison to other methods of female libido enhancement.

Before taking any type of over the counter or prescription product, women should always check with their doctor or pharmacist to ward against potential interactions with regularly prescribed medications already in their system.

A low libido doesnt have to strain a relationship. If the desire to correct the libidos lethargy is present, then a woman should feel free to seek out her alternative options.

Moving Beyond Codependency - Saving Your Marriage

I have counseled couples for almost 40 years, and it still thrills me when a couple, especially a couple with children, choose to work on their troubled marriage instead of leave it. It is my experience that when two people really want to save their marriage, they can. Even if one person wants to work on the marriage and the other doesn't, but the other is committed to staying in the marriage, great change and healing can occur. It actually takes just one person to change a codependent system, but when both are devoted to doing their inner work, miracles can happen very quickly.

Such is the case with Robert and Karen, married 14 years with two children.

The essential problem in troubled relationships is that each person is trying to control the other in different ways, and neither person is taking loving care of himself or herself. Each person is making the other responsible for their feelings of happiness and safety, and neither is taking responsibility for their own happiness and safety.

Robert was trying to control Karen with his anger and withdrawal. When she wasn't attentive enough to him, such as not wanting to listen to him complain about work, or when she didn't feel like making love with him, he would invariably get angry and sullen. He hoped that by punishing her, she would give him what he wanted - what he felt that he needed in order to be okay.

Karen was trying to control Robert with her caretaking. She would listen to him go on and on complaining about work, way past the point of boredom. She would give in to him and make love when she was not turned on, in the hope that he would love her and not be angry with her or leave her for another woman. But Karen had reached a place of deep resentment. She was almost ready to leave rather than go on losing herself in the relationship. When she finally decided to be honest with Robert, he was more than willing to come into counseling with her.

When Robert and Karen started phone sessions with me, they both believed the following:

"I am responsible for making you happy and you are responsible for making me happy. This is why we are together - to make each other happy. Why else be together? When you are not happy, it is my fault, and when I am not happy, it is your fault."

It had never occurred to Robert or Karen that they were each responsible for their own happiness. It had never occurred to them that they were together to share their love rather than to get love. It was a totally new concept to them that they each had a child inside them - their inner child, their feeling self - and that they were each responsible for their own inner child. Each of them had been handing their inner child over to the other person, essentially saying, "Here. This child, my feeling self, is your responsibility."

The problem with this is that, just as an actual child would feel abandoned if you kept trying to give him or her to someone else to care for, your inner child feels abandoned the moment you make another person responsible for your feelings. Then you think that your abandonment feelings are coming from the other person not loving you, when they are really coming from you not loving you!

I worked with Robert and Karen, teaching them how to take loving care of their own feelings. Within a few sessions, Robert and Karen were sharing their love rather than trying to get love. The fun, joy, love and passion were back in their relationship!

Sundays Are For Reflections!

Thank God for Sunday. A day for reflection. Life is moving as I feel it in different speeds. When we were kids the seasons were so long. The winter holidays were extreme long. The snow was deep and high. Our summers were very hot.

In the early teenage time seemed to speed up little more. Do you remember your older relatives always made comments like Gosh how big you are now and oh what time is running away. Now you can relate to those comments. So what can we do? Is it always like this? I think when you are busy and you are happy time is moving faster. When you are sad, unhappy and do not have things to do time seems to stand still.

What is the advice then? Time is always moving so we can not do anything about that. It is the way we see it or interpret it.

Lucky us we can not do anything to change the time so it has to be ourselves. Take the Sunday to reflect on how you use the time. Is it important to do that? Well it is all up to you.

For me I like to take the time to do it on Sunday. As the bible say to rest on the seventh day. I prefer to take the rest on Sunday. You can choose which day you like most. Maybe you are working on Sunday and prefer another day and thats fine. It seems to be a set time we are on this planet. What we do of it is very personal. Some people just live the days as it come others like to plan every detail of it. If you do plan it think again of what you are planning. What is important in your life today? Is it the same as it was years ago? So now when you plan what is it you are aiming for? Maybe it is the brand new car or a great holiday? Or is it a long life plan for the family? Can we enjoy life more without planning? If we would let go of the watch who would tell us about the time? Try that every now and then. Let go of time. Enjoy the moments that comes by. Look at the nature. How is the nature created by the time? Watch the animals they do not have a clue what time it is. When I am at my evening walks I notice that the gees walks in different ways as I approach them and another direction as 1, 5 hours walk I meet them again. They have their night snacks along the path. The sunrise is also in a different look. The colours are different and the air is thicker in the evening and thinner in the morning. Flowers and the grass smell different depending on the time. Be out there taking a smell and watch the nature. That is what I mean by thank God is Sunday.

The Most Common Mistake in Using the Law of Attraction

A common saying in LOA circles is "you gotta believe." Along with asking for what you want, through the use of gratitude and attraction boards, you also have to tap into your sub-conscious and allow yourself to really believe. You must truly know, in your soul, that whatever you want will come to you, as long as you do your part. This is all well and good in theory, but let's take a look at some of the pitfalls that one could fall into when trying to put this into practice.

In our example we will take a common item that many people hope to get through their practice of the law: more money! In this example well use the specific dollar amount of $1 Million dollars (nice round number). As explained in the workbook, you will place this dollar amount on your attraction board and repeat the series of steps necessary to sign, seal and deliver your request to the universe. But what do you do next? What are you thinking at the time? Here is a common wrong way to proceed:

Wrong:

Well, I just put out my intention for a million dollars. Hope it comes soon. Wow, thats a lot of money. Where will it come from?

If it isnt obvious, this will get you absolutely nowhere. This would be the equivalent of buying a winning lottery ticket and throwing it away. Lets take a look, sentence by sentence, of where we went wrong.

Hope it comes soon There is no such thing as hope when using the law of attraction. This puzzles many people as hope is often thought of as such as positive thing. What is overlooked, however, is the implicit doubt that goes along with merely hoping something happens. Saying you hope a million dollars comes into your life is acknowledging that there is a chance that it will not. Therefore, we must replace hope with a certainty such as know.

Wow, thats a lot of money. The universe does not relate to size. Therefore, one million dollars might as well be a penny, for all the universe is concerned. By saying that a million dollars is a lot of money is basically telling the universe I think a million dollars is more than I deserve, so I will completely understand when I dont get it. This is the equivalent of taking a check for a million dollars to the bank and thinking wow, thats a big check, Ill be OK with the bank only putting $100 into my account.

Where will it come from? Probably the most beautiful and magnificent part of the Law of Attraction is that it isnt up to you HOW things get done. All you need to do is ask and believe it will happen. If these things are done correctly, the universe will automatically set things in motion to bring you what you want. Asking how? is implying that the universe requires assistance in giving you what you want, which is obviously untrue. In future articles we will explore how to open yourself up to these things and explore ways to take notice of the steps the universe is taking to make your dreams a reality.

Finally, taking everything weve learned, here is the right way:

Well, I just put out my intention for a million dollars. I know that in an easy and relaxed manner, at the perfect time, I will have one million dollars. I realize that this amount is a drop in the bucket of the universe and I am fully deserving of that amount. I trust that the universe will create the path for me to making this dream a reality.

Once again, asking is key. However, if you dont also believe that what you ask for will really come to you it never will. Identify your internal thoughts and use the rules above to turn your negative thoughts into positive affirmations. Remember, if you dont believe youll keep getting a friendly reminder from the universe that skeptics needs not apply.

We are headquartered in Upstate NY and have devoted several years to the study and practice of the law of attraction. The tools we provide in our workbook curriculum are the very same tools we have used to create dramatic changes in our own health, wealth and relationships. Our soul intention is to share the tools that we have acquired in an affordable and fun way to bring the happiness that we enjoy every day to as many lives as possible.

Do You Want To Relax And Think Clearly?

Learning To Be In The Moment

Imagine thinking clearly, and feeling relaxed at will. Could you get more done? Enjoy life more? Would you like to know how to do that right now? Start by learning how to put yourself more in the moment with a simple mindfulness exercise.

Basic Mindfulness Exercises

A basic mindfulness exercise begins with sitting down, relaxing and breathing deeply. Close your eyes and pay attention to your breathing, following the breath in and out a few times. Then move your attention to your body, one part at a time, noticing any sensations of cold, hot, tight, sore or anything you can identify. After a few minutes, start listening to the sounds of the room, without judging, criticising or thinking about them. Just listen for a minute.

Open your eyes and look around as if seeing for the first time. Rest your eyes on any object for half a minute. Examine it without talking about it in your mind. Repeat this with another object, and then another, while still maintaining an awareness of your body and breath. Continue this state of mindfulness until you're ready to get up.

When sensing your body, your breath, and your immediate surroundings, you are more fully "in the moment." A mindfulness exercise like this puts your mind in a receptive state while removing mental distractions that hinder clear thinking. It leaves you ready to work mentally. Do this before important mental tasks and you'll find you have more focus and concentration.

Using Mindfulness For Daily Life

When you're in the middle of a task and feel stressed, stop. Take three deep breaths, then carefully watch yourself until identify what is bothering you. Find everything you can. Are you expecting something bad to happen? Is an argument from this morning still going on just below the surface of your consciousness? Are you worried about something? Is some part of your body in pain? Note everything you find.

Now deal with these thieves-of-concentration one by one. Make the phone call that's on your mind, take an aspirin if you need to, and apologise to someone if necessary. Take things from your mind and put them on a list for tomorrow (in writing). If all you can do is acknowledge that there's nothing you can do right now - do that. After doing this mindfulness exercise, you'll feel less stressed, and you'll be able to concentrate more effectively on the tasks at hand. Try it now.

The Business Of The Well-Fed Artist

If I could chime in on what Im over and done with as an artist, Im through with the term starving artist and am ready to replace that with well-fed artist. A couple of days ago I spoke with a prospective client of mine who was a painter, and within 30 seconds I had heard all the stereotypes of the starving artist.

I have no money.
I cant start anything right now.
I have to go through some turmoil first.

After hearing this, I have to admit I wanted to slap him but I also knew to respect his wishes as to how he wants to live his life. Still that last statement bothered me the most. And I dont know about you, but the last time I checked there were two sides to lifegood and bad. And if art imitates it, then why must the turmoil always come first? Couldnt it be the other way around? Furthermore while some individuals are fortunate enough to have just too much abundance and blessings in their lives, why cant that befall upon the artist?

What Im seeing is that a majority of artists continue to buy into their own self-fulfilling prophecythat they need to suffer in order to produce good works. But what we fail to recognize is that this so-called suffering doesnt have to be the kind where you live out of your car and hustle for auditions to get that big break. Sure it makes for a great biography but what about the good works that we seem to be so tunnel-visioned on but cant create and share? Let me divulge on a little secret.

Suffering is no other than life itself. Its simply being able to live your life and to appreciate the ups, downs, and everything in between. Do you think the corporate executive even at a highly reputable company doesnt feel defeat and disorder from time-to-time? Think again. That executive possibly goes through just as much if not even more turmoil than starving artists, but just doesnt express it through a medium like oil and canvas. Instead they may take it out on the golf ball or jot it down in their personal diaries.

However its expressed theres still a difference between you and them I must address. Theyre well-fed and youre not. But you know what? You can be well-fed too. You can get a good-paying job to keep yourself well-nourished while you express your art, except youre not doing it to the golf ball. You can also learn slowly how to invest your earnings to build up a good wealth account to supplement costs associated to improving your craft. Falling back on the clich that either life imitates art or art imitates life (In my book its both.), youve got to live life in order to create the art that imitates it. Starve yourself and your art conveys starvation. Feed yourself with real life experience and not only will your art be filled with meaning, youll be a well-fed artist as well.

Guides to Effective E-Marketing

When one would really think about how to potentially market his product to its clients, e-mail marketing is always a top priority. The cost effectiveness of this technique is primarily one of the reasons for it being a potent marketing scheme not to mention that it also is efficient in obtaining potential clients. However, people get to fail in fully utilizing this strategy because for some known reason, they mishandle the use of such. There are a few ways on how you should be working on e-mail marketing as an advertising tool.

Do not draw the readers attention with too much graphics. Graphics can at times destruct the attention of the readers. It may help in accentuating your text but putting too much of graphics can actually destroy the entire message of your marketing material. Make sure that you concentrate the essence of your material with text and not with graphics.

Be formal with your e-mail material. Refrain from using chat lingo. Chat lingo may be cool to people who do chat all the time. But try to remember that the e-mail marketing you are sending out is trying to project not only your product but the image of your company as well. The e-mail marketing material should be and will always be a formal correspondence. Making it a little personal is different with making it comical. Chat dialects are comical. They should never in any way be used as a form of communication in terms of marketing.

On your e-mail marketing material, it is important that you inform your readers that the reason why they are receiving the e-mail is because they opted to receive one by placing their contact address on the opt in box. As such, you also have to give them the opportunity to opt out from receiving any e-mail marketing material from you.

3 Unique Twists You Can Use to Motivate Your English as a Foreign Language Learners

Motivation

Motivation, whether intrinsic or extrinsic, can be a significant factor in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classes. While you may need to follow a set curriculum or course book, the learners want fun and games, if they even want to be there at all. So why not slip in one or more of these suggestions during the course of your class week? A quick break in the class routine should spice things up nicely as an aid to help liven things up and motivate your learners.

Here are three unique new things you can try to make a class more dynamic and motivate your English as a foreign language learners.

1. Play a New Game or Do a Puzzle in Class

Go online to pick up some dynamics and activities you can use with your English classes. Some good websites to start with include:

www.puzzlemaker.com for word search, crossword and other verbal-linguistic puzzle types

http://www.zillions-of-games.com/demo/ is good for a slew of online, but adaptable games

http://zone.msn.com/en/root/downloads.htm has more downloadable games you can modify and adapt to the needs and interests of your learners. Actually, you might even have them suggest ways to play online games in an offline environment.

http://www.eslpod.com/website/index.php will add greater variety to your possible offerings to the students. Dont forget to give them some latitude n modifying of adapting games to suit their use in learning English as a foreign or second language.

2. Try some warm up or short dynamic activities during the class

Grab an activities resource book for a rich fountain of short activities you can incorporate into your EFL classes. If youre using a course book series, likely it has a resource book of extra activities. Otherwise you might try the book Five-Minute Activities by Penny Ur and Andrew Wright (1996 Cambridge University Press) or any of a host of other EFL activities titles available.

3. Prepare a conversation or dialogue about something your learners like

Farr too many text series are focused on presenting a grammar point or illustrating correct usage, syntax, vocabulary collocations, etc. to be of true interest to many groups of learners. Find out what your learners really like and have them construct a series of conversations around these interests. Theyll have more interest and fun in doing so than simply following the book.

Summary

Introduce a snippet of humor into the class session. Try using a comic book, comic strip or a brace of jokes to evoke some medicinal laughter from your learners. So if your learners want more fun and games like mine often do, and you need to follow a set curriculum or course book, dont despair. Slip one or more of these quick suggestions into your routine, and watch your learners light up. If you have any short activities that your learners particularly like, drop me an e-mail. Id love to hear about it.

Sample Resume Objectives: Good, But Summaries Are Smokin'!

Since college I've been told that a resume ought to have an "objective statement" at the top. Maybe you've been told the same.

I'm here to tell you somebody's been lying to you!

Well, not necessarily, but maybe. Every resume has an objective, but not every resume has to have an objective statement. So before you get the urge to search online for sample resume objectives, keep reading.

Every resume has an objective. How you TALK about that objective in the resume is a different matter entirely.

An objective statement simply states your objective. I got a four-year degree so I could make brilliant statements like that. But it's true, and most of the sample resume objectives you'll find online are statements of what the job seeker wants.

That's a mistake. A bad mistake.

A good resume objective statement should tell the reader what the candidate will do for him. Specifically, it ought to tell him what profit the candidate will add.

No, I'm not kidding. Here's an example of what I mean:

"A highly experienced sales and marketing professional with comprehensive strategic planning and implementation skills, and $27 million in total profit improvement added in 8 years, seeking a position as a Sales Manager where these skills will add similar or greater value."

Wow! That objective statement screams, "Keep reading!" Do YOU know any hiring manager or executive who would turn his nose up at $27 million in 8 years? I don't. It's at least worth talking to you about, which means you'll get an interview. What if it was only $1 million, or $100,000? Whatever the number, it's money, and that counts.

And that, folks, is the magic. Everything in the job search process should have a focused purpose, and be done on purpose. The purpose of your resume and cover letter is to compel an interview. A strong objective statement like that can help.

Feel free to start with a sample or three. Just be sure to modify any sample you use. Keep the good and scrap the bad.

But is that the best you can do? Hardly.

I have nothing against objective statements, and you can find some solid sample resume objectives online. My only gripe is that using a solid objective statement is settling for good when there's a (typically) better alternative.

That alternative is the resume summary. Some might call it a "Profile," or a "Summary of Qualifications," or even just "Qualifications." Whatever the name, it's a grab-'em-by-the-throat killer. Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

"Savvy, results-oriented leader with proven success in managing multimillion-dollar software product rollouts to disparate sales channels. Background includes launching a high-productivity expert development team, increasing revenue by $2.5 million and achieving unit profitability within nine months (six months ahead of plan), at Widgets, Inc., with leading technology and feature-rich product releases to meet known demand. Critical thinker and adept negotiator who can apply extensive industry knowledge to profitable vendor partnerships and revenue-enhancing co-branding opportunities. Expertly directs development, technology integration, and customer demand discovery. Published author, and frequent keynote speaker at industry conferences."

Good grief! If the example resume objective a few paragraphs ago was solid, that summary will leave a reader gasping for air.

Put a summary like that in a resume (with your own qualifications in it, of course), and you'll almost certainly get a phone call for a job interview.

I can hear you saying that whoever has the summary you just read can walk on water. What about lowly old you? Here's what I used on my last resume, and I wasn't a high-powered executive either:

"Results-oreinted software developer and consulting project manager with six years' experience at Big 5 firm. Experienced OO developer with particular expertise in Java and Extreme Programming (XP). Over seven years' experience developing software and managing projects in challenging, fast-paced consulting environments. Demonstrated ability to acquire technical knowledge and skills rapidly. Innovative problem solver, able to see the business and technical sides of a problem. Proven leadership, negotiation and problem resolution abilities. Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written. Published author and conference speaker."

See? That summary needs some improvement, but it shows mere mortals can do it too. That means you can.

A powerfully stated objective statement makes your resume pop. A powerfully stated summary makes it a thermonuclear explosion. Most others in the resume pile (and there's always a pile) have objectives that translate into "get a job." Then you come along with a Sherman tank summary. They're dead meat.

Make no mistake, job search is war. Powerful summaries give you an advantage.

What Makes A Good Team Leader?

How many times have I been asked this question? (The title of this article). The answer is plenty of times. I attend an interview for a position of authority and am asked, amongst other things, what constitutes a good team leader? In this article I will be writing about the way in which I would reply to this question etc.

In my career thus far, I have been a team leader for two different companies and have also been a member of many different teams, who have been run by a numerous different team leaders. This has given me, in my own opinion, quite a good understanding of what is required to be a good team leader.

Good, positive and quick decision making

There is nothing worse than being in a team whose leader is quite weak, in-decisive and lacking in confidence. It sends a wave of uncertainty through the time and leaves the members of that team feeling frustrated.

Communication

A team leader who is unapproachable is, in my opinion, a poor team leader. Any member of the team should feel comfortable and happy to be able to talk to his/her team leader about a variety of matters. This would include business matters of course but could also include any personal difficulties that they may be going through.

The team leader should also possess the ability to convey messages from the company to his staff, as well as communicating what he expects from them, work wise, for that particular day and week.

Motivation

A good team leader will have the ability to keep his or her troops motivated throughout the day and week. They can do this by operating various challenges such as the best employee of the month receives a box of chocolates, the worst employee is not allowed to speak or be spoken to for one hour, as way of punishment. Just a bit of fun and games, which can be judged by the amount, and standard of work that each member completes. This is just one of many ways to keep the troops thinking and working.

The Law of Attraction - What Is It Really?

There has been all of this talk about The Secret on Oprah and Larry King. There have been both sides of the coin shownthe optimistic side and the pessimistic side. Where most people fall is somewhere in the middle, having cracked the tip of the iceberg for a waking aha moment that seems to in an instant, explain some of lifes most pressing questions.

However, when these aha moments occur, thats just the beginning of a new realm of possibility, information, wonderment, new scenarios as well as confusion, disbelief, frustration, and fear. With all of this attention to this Law of Attraction, it would be imperative to take a simple look at what the Law states:

The Law of Attraction simply states that what you think and feel about most, you will attract. Where you focus most of your attention is what is going to show up in your life whether you like it or not. This can be both a wonderful realization and a painful one. It can be empowering or frightening realizing that your life is actually in your hands too and not solely the hands of anything external as many of us believe. Having to take ownership for your life is most often referred to as free will. This Law suggests that the external you see, even if you cant figure out how, is a reflection of your thoughts and emotions that come from your free will, which is governed by both the conscious mind and primarily the subconscious mind.

So going back to the initial question, lets ask again, what is the Law of Attraction? It is simply a Universal Law that can not be avoided, circumvented or proved to be false. Laws of the Universe govern our existence, and when we begin to learn about them and purposely work with them to our advantage, we can start to see more of what it is we like and less of what we dont like.

This is a breaking-the ice article, which will continue to uncover more insights the deeper you decide to go. Like in the popular movie, What The Bleep Do We Know, how far down the rabbit hole do you want to go?

For most people, discovering the Law of Attraction is an awakening to self; self-realization, self-empowerment, self-actualization and so on. It puts a person in a place, even if its just for a moment, where they can take ownership for the events that take place in their lives and the people that they come in contact with either directly or indirectly. Learning about the Law of Attraction helps to begin demystifying the beliefs that most people hold so closely to themselves as absolute truth. It does so by providing an answer to the how that many people wonder regarding why certain things happen to them. For instance, if you wonder why me or why them and not me, the Universal Law of Attraction helps to give a reason.

If you want to look more into reasons why and the way the Law of Attraction works, visit the post The Law of Attraction: How It Works.

Money Isn't Everything

It may be that after holiday expenses and extra bills, money, or lack of money, is all you can think about. It takes money to travel, buy gifts, and to do the things you want to do. Some phrases I often hear from my clients are, "If I had allot of money to invest it would be so much easier," or "I wish I had rich relatives to help me." All these words have run through my own mind at different times and yet I know that my money issues still seem to be there regardless of how much money I have. Fear of not having enough, being afraid to take smart risks, addictive spending, and poor money management are all problems that are indications of deeper issues that will be there regardless of how much money you have.

One of my mentors taught me two tools that when put into action can transform some of those deeper issues. The first is the importance of paying yourself first. I skim 10% off of all of my income and put it into a financial freedom (investment) account. For someone who is very low income and has high debts you may want to begin at five percent. As a result of doing this one act, I saved thousands of dollars in the past year and I was able to buy a house last summer. Those funds are never used for anything other than investments. The second tool is to take the same percentage and put it into a giving account. I use this fund to buy food for homeless people, donate to non-profits, or give to people in need. Both of these small acts have changed my whole relationship with money and keep me feeling abundant even in times of financial crunch.

However, money isn't everything. Here are five things that are even more important than money.

1. Take initiative

Be creative. Try new things, don't wait for someone else to do it first. Trust your ideas and use your own brain power. Its free.

2. Be charismatic

Everyone has an innate magnetism. Find your way to stand out in the crowd. This begins with your smile!

3. Nurture your spirit

Connect with the something that is greater than you. Spend time in nature, write, make your office more beautiful. Feel your spirit and it will show in your eyes.

4. Develop courage

Do things in spite of the obstacles. Keep your mind focused on what is waiting past the obstacle. Look for solutions not problems. Courage begins in your heart.

5. Move your Energy

Get up and move. Go for it! Move your two feet and get out and connect with people. Talk to at least two new people every day. Take steps.

If you develop these five things you will begin the year with a positive and empowered outlook and your year will unfold with promise of riches far greater than money.

In addition, if you launch the two tools mentioned above and start your financial freedom and give accounts your financial abundance will increase and your money stress will decrease. You will begin to create 2007 as a year to permanently transform your money issues.

Why Predict the Future?

Do you ever try to predict the future? Are you usually right, or wrong? If so, then read on.

Can you predict the future of your industry? Can you predict the future of your business? No one can say with certainty what will happen next week much less one year from now. And five years? Not a chance.

Yogi Berra reportedly said, "It's hard to make predictions, especially about the future."

Everyone agrees. Predicting the future is hard. It is so hard that a fifty percent success rate is considered extraordinary for a professional futurist. In other words, the professionals are wrong at least half of the time.

And yet businesses try to predict the future all of the time. In fact, there are three basic business tools which require future predictions:

Future Revenues: At the most primitive level businesses predict future revenues. For better or worse "estimated future revenues" figures govern many of our proposed business decisions. These estimated figures are often wrong but we nonetheless establish spending patterns for years to come based upon this guesswork.

Industry Scenarios: One level up from revenue predictions is the prediction of industry scenarios in which we try and guess what are competitors are likely to do in the future.

Strategic Planning: The most complex level of predictions takes place in strategic planning. Most high-performing businesses set annual and long-term objectives and develop plans to meet those objectives. Resource planning, financial planning, market planning, sales planning and project planning all depend upon how well businesses predict the future in their strategic plans.

One of the problems with these business tools is that businesses end up developing "planned reactions" to guessed-about future events instead of creating their own plans. A second problem is that businesses usually measure the success of these "planned reactions" based upon whether or not they produce the predicted results.

Now here's the rub: All of those estimates of future revenues, industry scenarios and strategic plans are based upon predictions which are more than likely wrong. By measuring success against faulty predictions how can a business do anything but fail to achieve its goals?

Why should you predict the future if it is such a losing game? Well, I have a saying: "The best way to predict the future is to invent it."

Instead of using future estimates, predictions and plans to be reactive to the future be proactive about the future by creating your own. To move your business Faster Than The Speed Of Change declare the direction in which you want your business to go-invent your own future. Pick a direction and set plans in action to take advantage of and profit from that direction.

You may end up exactly where you said you were going. Then again, you may not. Along the way you may shift completely-your northward heading now facing east and your west now facing south. But you will get somewhere and that somewhere will probably be much farther along and much closer to your declared direction than if you had no direction and only "reaction plans."

Declarations, predictions, and, yes, even strategic plans have a way of focusing our attention and mobilizing our efforts far more effectively than random action, or worse still, just plodding along with no sense of the future. A boldly conceived and declared future energizes everyone in your enterprise. We never fail to be excited and inspired by what art historian Kenneth Clark called "the shock of the new." And, by inventing the future you may alter the competitive landscape ands bring into being changes so great that they didn't exist before.

You see, the future is really whatever we say it is going to be. Once we decide what is possible, become inspired by the possible, commit our resources, time and energy to achieving specific objectives, we can turn future possibilities into reality.

Better than even money says you'll be wrong if you predict the future. I say, you'll be right if you invent your own future.

Success: By The Numbers

What is "success"? Why does it seem everyone wants "success"? What does "success" mean to you? Do you need "success"? Do you deserve "success"?

That's this week's focus!

Success. Where does it begin and what is it really?

According to Roget's International Thesaurus...

Success is...

* Accomplishment

* Prosperity

* Superiority

* Victory

When one examines the term "success" in this fashion, one can begin to see that "success" can be a fairly tall order. I mean success in most cases (our lives of simple normality), we were not simply born of it. Success must be achieved. Accomplishment must be attained. Prosperity must be built. Superiority must be earned. Victory must be won.

I am regularly blown away when I witness so many well-intentioned people try their hand at landing success right here on the NET; only to stumble and bumble through the massive quantities of gibberish found upon the browsers of millions of desktops and notebooks across the globe.

As I answer my hundreds of emails every week, I preach the same message time and again.

My sermon goes something like this...

Unless you have boat-loads of money to burn, you must build your structure one brick at a time. Time is the key.

Today's marketer consists of two separate categories...

Category #1

If you possess pockets deeper than the Grand Canyon itself,

Then...

You can easily and quite swiftly generate instant awareness about your product or service.

Category #2

If you are like most people and fit snugly into the upper 90% that must work to make a living,

Then...

You must first begin to practice the following disciplines to make the most of your initial e-business efforts:

1. Learn About Yourself...

What makes you tick? What turns you on? What turns you off? And, most importantly, what are you most passionate about?

2. Rely On Patience...

Remind yourself again and again that your new e-business adventure will take a certain amount of time to build. Anything worthy of wearing the ribbon of success did not just happened overnight.

3. Take "Baby Steps"...

Don't let the mystical world of "Smoke and Mirrors" send you into instant hyperventilation. Savor your e-business delicacy one bite at a time. Don't race from here to there with arrival of every new email opportunity. Work one e-business venture at a time.

4. Align Yourself With Successful People...

Remember, "Success breeds success"! If the person or company you are currently following is racing Mach 10 with their hair on fire exuding that "Deer-in-the-headlights" look, run quickly and furiously in any other direction than the one in which they are going. Hang with those that have proven their success and are more than willing to take you under their wing.

5. Have A Clue...

If you fail to plan than you plan to fail. Whether on a napkin or square sheet of toilet paper, write down your game plan. Always assume that if you do not write it down, you will forget. How can you sell your product or service if you yourself don't know what you're talking about. View your memoirs as a form of a contract to yourself.

Parable Of The Talents

Watching the DVD of The Secret

Everyone has a secret dream he wishes to fulfill. Unfortunately, most people more often than not are unable to fulfill these dreams not because they cant but just because they think they cant. It might be a difference of just one word, but that one word carries a whole world of difference for both types of persons.

The Revelation of The Secret
For people who are unable to attain their fondest dreams, salvation is just around the corner. Last March 2006, The Secret was broadcast worldwide through the Internet and is now being sold in DVD format in various websites.

The Secret is something that a lot of people have known and talked about for centuries already. Most people who have discovered it however have jealously kept it hidden from the rest of the world, not wanting to share their luck. Others have used it as a commodity and were able to grow rich beyond their wildest dreams because of it. But now, at long last, a group of people whose dreams are to simply share this wonderful secret with everyone whos struggling with life have come.

What is The Secret?
The secret is something simple but infinitely powerful. It can even be summed up in one concise sentence: what you want you can get if you believe right here and now that you will.

That statement is deemed preposterous by many, and these doubts are unfortunately what make them unable to make The Secret come true for them. Doubt and other feelings of negativity are the primary opponents of The Secret and these are what hinder your dreams for becoming true in an instant.

Now that you know what The Secret is all about, you can start combing the pages of history and youll soon see for yourself proof that The Secret had existed eons ago. Albert Einstein - the scientist who formulated the theory of relativity, Abraham Lincoln the American president who helped abolish slavery, and Beethoven the musician who defied great odds to continue composing music in spite of his handicap - are just some of the few people who had believed in and benefited from The Secret.

And the great thing about The Secret is that once you learned how to apply it in your life, it will be with you until the end of days and the benefits will come nonstop.

The Teachers behind the DVD The Secret
There are scores of great teachers who have been interviewed and make up the lessons from The Secret. If youre still doubting the veracity and power of The Secret, here are just a few personalities who have shared their wisdom and experience with The Secret:

Jack Canfield Hes the co-creator of the Chicken Soup of the Soul, an all-time bestseller that has helped millions of people worldwide to have a better and happier life.

Morris E. Goodman In the early eighties, he was referred to as the Miracle Man because of his miraculous recovery from the injuries he had incurred when he accidentally crashed his airplane. Doctors had predicted his inability to resume his bodily functions normally ever again but he was able to prove them wrong and its all because of The Secret.

Even the making of the DVD The Secret itself was created by using the very theme of the movie. When filmmaker Rhonda Byrne arrived in the United States, she only had one interview lined up but her faith in The Secret made it possible for her to continue with her project without delay. You can start enjoying the benefits of The Secret tooand its all up to you when you want to start.

Is This All There Is

When we hit middle age or thereabouts, it's not unusual to begin asking questions such as, "Is this it?"

Before that, we are busy with kids, careers, and all the things that, as we become older, begin slipping through our fingers like water - without our even realizing it at times.

Whatever we are doing, or have done, is only temporary, and this takes a while to sink in. Even the money we have accumulated only buys so many vacations, cruises, or second and third homes; and pretty soon we find ourselves saying, "been there done that" way too many times.

For questions such as, "Is this it?" to come up, something has to slow us down. As long as we can maintain our busyness, these kinds of questions may never come up. "Keep your mind busy, honey," (your grandmother might say), "A busy mind is a happy mind!" Good advice. Because once you begin to question things, busyness doesn't help so much - best to hold off these kinds of questions if you can, (unless you have guts!)

But try as we might, sure as heck something usually happens to wake us up, if we're fortunate, and it usually isn't pretty - usually traumatic actually. Nothing like a little financial disaster, serious illness, or losing something or someone that's very close, to alter our glass-half-full outlook on life!

Of course, the kneejerk reaction to coming face-to-face with these deep questions is to root out some answers from someone else in some book somewhere, or on the web - too much time and trouble to find the answers ourselves! This is a fatal error, simply because the process of the search, and the white beads that you will sweat in finding your own answers, is the only place where true answers can be found.

These questions actually may never come up for people who know everything, or think that they do. If all of their questions have been answered ahead of time by their beliefs, or their philosophy, or their leader, no further inquiry is required . . . and then they are as good as dead! A philosophy or religion will never answer these deep, heartfelt questions.

When the questions come up for them, they can convince themselves that they already have the answers, and then they don't have to look! But they don't have the answers; they have someone else's answers that they have only accepted as truth. They don't have the courage to look for themselves, because looking at these things tears down everything that they have ever believed in the past.

Until we investigate ourselves, we will never experience that hot forge that tempers the true seeker. Without heat, we have only the answers of someone else; an escape, and therefore no fundamental change is made within. We remain a perpetual work in progress, where we continue barking, like hungry dogs, up the same ol' worldly trees, while espousing platitudes of divinity!

If, however, we are fortunate to have something awaken us from all of this; then we can expect the questions to really get dicey quicker than a New York minute, culminating in the classic one, "What am I?"

And only after this question comes up in our hearts do we realize the immensity of our inquiry, and that in time, only a true reversal of how we have been living can take us to our answer.

Wisdom Of The Ages

The Resurgence of Hope

We have entered into a new planetary cycle that is already beginning to manifest some of the greatly needed changes that have been long awaited by so many faithful souls who have worked to build a better world. You may be able to sense this already. Many are feeling "change in the air", and are speak of hope, liberation and freedom in new ways that have not been seen for several generations now.

This resurgence of hope has manifested because so much darkness and negative energy have been released and purified, enabling a new level of God's light to begin to manifest upon the Earth. This new light is not an "idea" but is a vibrational reality which creates its own signature and impact on the physical world.

Just like a flashlight which serves to illuminate the cobwebs of a long neglected basement, the presence of greater spiritual light on the Earth stirs up dormant energies of separation and negativity, so they can be brought into the light of day, and then released into the greater light that now exists on the Earth. This process is known as purification, and it is happening everywhere, within individuals, groups, families, communities, countries and in the world at large.

The presence of greater light on the Earth not only accelerates the process of purification, but also changes the vibrational frequency of physical matter. This is having a major impact on our physical bodies, and on the physical body of our Earth. You may have noticed an acceleration of all kinds of unusual physical symptoms, some of which are simply an annoyance, others of which may be more serious and require professional attention.

By now we are all familiar with the significant changes in the Earth's weather patterns, which have been affected both by humanity's ongoing abuse and neglect of our environment, and also by the changes in vibration which are impacting all levels of our ecosystem from the depths of the inner Earth to the upper reaches of our atmosphere.

This process of planetary purification is very intense, and at the same time opens up entirely new possibilities for humanity. We can no longer live by the old ways, and we need to find new solutions to today's problems. These new solutions are already becoming evident and appearing on all levels of the world stage. From politics, to science, to medicine, to religion, and to the world of new technologies, human beings are being inspired and guided to create new avenues of possibility for themselves and their children.

For many years now the Earth has been covered by a cloud of energy that has obscured the perception of the light that has been growing. Now we are seeing finally some breaks in the clouds. The new light is streaming through and speaking to the hearts, minds and bodies of all those who are physically embodied on the Earth.

This new light speaks of hope, and the possibility of the new. Each soul on the Earth is being helped right now to find within themselves a deeper access to their divine soul purpose, and their own unique gifts. Your dreams and intuitions are being affected by the light, which is calling forth from the depths of all souls a new reality.

For some, this new light is so rapidly accelerating their own process of purification, that an overwhelming array of old emotions and physical symptoms are presenting themselves. For these souls, support and connection with others can greatly assist in remaining connected to the light, and having perspective about the intensity of emotions that are moving through their consciousness.

Dearest ones, this is a new time of infinite possibility, and it is also a time of choice and the need to take action. No longer can humanity sit on the sidelines to watch life as an observer. The new times ahead will require everyone's active participation. God's divine light is speaking to your heart, in your dreams, your daily life, and your intuitions. New possibilities and new hope are awakening. Listen within and follow the thread of light that calls. You will find a new life awaiting as you follow the voice of your deepest self, which is God's voice within.

Get Motivated and Stay Motivated

"Most people ask for happiness on condition. Happiness can only be felt if you don't set any condition." Artur Rubenstein

1) Practice patience, perseverance, and prayer. There's a story of the person who prayed, "God, please give me patience, and hurry!" In this day and age of cell phones, fax machines and instant gratification, it's easy to want what we want NOW. No one is willing to wait anymore. However, as we mature, we discover that it often takes patience, perseverance, and a lot of hard work to get the things we really want. Whether it's a promotion at work, losing weight, or having a great relationship.

If you believe in God, pray for patience, persistence and guidance. God sees the big picture. We don't. Often, looking back, we see that many of the things we just "had to have" weren't really right for us anyway.

2) Learning how to overcome procrastination helps you get motivated and stay motivated. I believe deep down most people know what they're supposed to do to improve their lives. But we procrastinate doing that activity. We just don't want to do it. Whether it's getting rid of the clutter in our home or office, cleaning up our eating habits or cleaning out the garage. Most of us know there's something we need to do that we've been procrastinating. Yet, by procrastinating a task, we end up cluttering our minds further by thinking about what we should be doing.

Again, if you have certain spiritual beliefs, just ask for the courage to do it. Turn to God. This is not something I discuss in my speaking engagements as my audiences are diverse businesspeople from different backgrounds. But asking for strength works. By admitting your weakness you will often gain strength in overcoming procrastination. And getting help in many other areas of your life as well.

Stop trying to do it all yourself. Give yourself a break. Give up some of the control. Take it in baby steps. For example, clean up just half of the garage. Or, begin that exercise program just three days a week for 30 minutes a day. Too often we fall into the "all or nothing" mentality. If we can't do it all at once, well, we simply don't do it at all!

3) Practice positive thinking.Think about what you're thinking about! I read on the internet that the number one thing people would like to change for the new year is to have a more positive attitude. Thoughts lead to words. Words lead to actions, and your actions determine your approach to your career, relationships, health and just about everything else. Positive thinking is something you often have to practice.

I am a worrier. And of all things, a motivational speaker! It's my job to help people become more productive, improve morale and stay motivated. In many cases, it's also my job to help them increase profitability. Worrying is a habit I've tried to consistently break. After all, worrying is negative thinking. Worry doesn't solve anything. It doesn't add a single day to your life. I make a conscious effort to think about what I'm thinking about. I shift my thinking to the positve whenever possible and it's becoming more of a habit. Becoming more aware of your thoughts is half the battle.

4) Eat right in order to feel happier, healthier, and stay motivated. We all know what to eat but often need to be reminded. Too many junky foods produce junky negative thoughts. Start your morning with protein to stabilize your blood sugar. Increase your daily intake of fresh fruits and vegetables. Switch to organics whenever possible toavoid exposure to harmful pesticides. If you travel a lot this isn't always easy. Do the best you can. Remember, moderation is the key. The minute you have that all or nothing approach, you set yourself up for disaster by beating yourself up for not being perfect.

See your doctor to find out what types of vitamins and minerals you should be taking. Studies show that even when we're eating at our healthiest many of us are still missing vital nutrients. Drink more water. If you're under a time crunch, and who isn't these days, try eating raw nuts such as almonds or pumpkin seeds for protein and iron. Dried fruits such as apricots, raisins and cranberries contain vital nutrients and add lots of flavor. I do this all the time when I'm conducting day-long speaking engagements. It's vital for me in keeping up my energy and blood sugar levels not to mention improved mental acuity. Find out what works for you because everyone is different.

How To Get Motivated and Stay Motivated...Choose To Be Happy In Spite of Your Circumstances

5) Make a decision that you will be happy in spite of your circumstances. Don't wait until everything is going your way in order to be content. Otherwise you will spend much of your life discontented. Avoid the "when script." For example, "When I get that promotion then I'll be happy." Or, "When I get pregnant and have children then I'll be happy." How many times have you heard people say, "Once the kids are grown and out of the house THEN I'll be happy!"

There's always that illusive "when script" projecting into the future. And just because you count on something positive to happen, doesn't mean it always does. People aren't perfect and can disappoint you. You can lose your job. Your money can disappear. Things won't always go your way. It's okay to plan ahead and set goals for where you want to be. Just make certain you're also happy where you are now.

6) Don't compare yourself to others. We tend to compare the worst in ourselves with the best in others. Don't compare your insides to someone else's outsides. This is especially true for women. In our society, we're bombarded with magazines and media projecting an unrealistic standard of what we are supposed to look like. Many magazines feature ads with supermodels who are six feet tall. Even worse, the photos have been airbrushed and retouched dozens of times. Focus on developing your own unique gifts and talents. If you're too focused on trying to be like other people, you will become discouraged, give up, and lose sight of your dream.

7) Rest, relax, and recharge completely. It's one thing to get motivated, but to stay motivated you need downtime. If you're sleepy on a weekend afternoon, take a nap. In our fast-paced American society, this is virtually impossible during the work week. America is one of the few countries in the world that doesn't take an afternoon break. Lots of scientific research has shown that lack of sleep negatively affects mood, stress levels, mental acuity, weight, and overall performance. If you're tired, you're more likely to snap. You won't be a pleasant person to be around.

8) Exercise plays an important role in getting and staying motivated. For example, many participants in my speaking engagements tell me that walking outdoors during a short lunch break is enough to reenergize them. Exercising outdoors is especially beneficial in helping reduce depression during the winter months.

While you're exercising, and driving to and from work, listen to your favorite music. One of my favorite songs is "It's On," from Boney James "Pure" CD. Very upbeat music with lots of saxophone, and serves as a huge energy booster and mood lifter for me! I'll often play it after finishing a project. It's a small but very positive reward.

9) Get out of yourself. Be grateful for what you have. Do you have enough clothing, food, and a roof over your head? Probably so. Do volunteer work, or spend time listening to a friend or family member in need. By helping others you realize that whatever your "trauma of the day" happens to be, really isn't so important after all.

Focus more on what you have, not on what you don't have. Today, make a conscious decision to be happy in spite of your circumstances.
